Bellydance Haydee has always loved performing in front of a
crowd. She started performing at the age
of five imitating Selena in birthday parties and she was always the first to
sign up for school dance performances. When she entered high school, she took
interest in bellydance after seeing Shakira on television performing Ojos
Asi. Though she did not even know the name of the dance, she was drawn to it and taught herself most of Shakira’s choreographies by taping them and watching them over and over. Right before she turned 19, she got second place in a bellydance competition that allowed her to meet Shakira in person. It was then when she began researching professional bellydancers online and learning more of the art by imitating other dancers through youtube.com. A few months after that she auditioned and was
accepted into a bellydance performing group at the University of Houston called
Hourglass Girls. While with the
Hourglass Girls, Haydee performed in several restaurants in Houston as well as
University events. In the coming years,
she was able to take workshops with some of the best international bellydancers
including Sadie, Bozenka and Ansuya. Up to this point she had still not taking one formal bellydance class. In 2009 she met Soraya, a local bellydancer who offered her a place in her bellydance company, Zambra, and professional bellydance training. While Haydee was a member of Zambra, she performed in events such as the Bayou City Arts Festival and many more. Throughout 2010, Haydee performed in other events and parties, but this time with enough experience to have her own Solo act. In October 2010 Haydee entered another dancing competition which she won. By winning this competition she was able to fulfill one of her dreams which was to dance on stage with Shakira.
Modeling Haydee began modeling in 2009 with her first
photographer, Jeffrey. She has worked with different local photographers and helps with the
retouching process also, something she taught herself as well. She currently is available for hire assisting photographers to set up their portfolio.
Singing Haydee has always loved to sing, though she was always too shy to do so in front of others. She took a voice course at the University of Houston but was too shy to participate fully. In late 2009 she met local aspiring rapper C-Los who she shared with that she sings and he offered her to sing the hook to two of his songs. They performed these songs together for the online show The Underground, associated with MTV-U. C-Los is in the process of finishing up his albums and the first single “Sick Obsession” will be available in iTunes and CD Baby within days. C-Los has also confirmed he will be assisting Haydee to write songs for her own album and there are plans on filming a music video for “Sick Obsession” beginning in September. |

Acting In May 2010, Haydee graduated from the University
of Houston with a degree in Business Finance and a certification in Global
Energy Management. A few months after
graduation, she decided to quit her job and dedicate completely to what she
really wanted to do. She took acting
classes for the very first time in October of 2010 at Next Actor Studios and
has not looked back. She began
auditioning and even though she didn’t have any prior experience acting, it was
not long until she obtained her first role.
In December she auditioned and was offered a role in the Spanish web series,
Lola, as the backstabbing Victoria.
After learning of her bellydance abilities the directors of the show
offered her a spot in a music video for Snow Tha Product as a bellydancer. What happened next was a pleasant surprise. Haydee auditioned for a small role in the feature film Inside Out, directed by Joe Estevez, but she was offered a leading role. Her most recent role was as the maid in the feature film called Somebody Up There Likes Me starring Nick Offerman from the NBC comedy Parks and Recreation and Megan Mullally from Will and Grace. Currently, Haydee is being confirmed in future projects and auditioning for more. She also has Pastorini-Bosby in her plans for representation. |
